Consequences (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!) Our classroom management plan is based on a money system. The students start every school day with a dollar in his or her bank (on a green card). The students can earn or lose quarters based on their behavior. If your child ends on a green card, they have earned $1.00 for the day. If your child ends on a yellow card, they have earned $0.75 for the day. If your child ends on an orange card, they have earned $0.50 for the day. If your child ends on a pink card, they have earned $0.25 for the day. If your child ends on a black card, they have earned $0.00 for the day. If your child received more than one black card in a day, money will be deducted from their balance. We will have a class store once per quarter where the students can shop for coupons, toys, candy, etc.
So parents and guardians are aware of their child’s daily behavior, please check the students’ agenda on a nightly basis. The students will record the amount of money they earned each day on a behavior log and on their daily agenda page. Below is a summary of ways your child might lose quarters:
Came unprepared for class: -$0.25
Interrupted/Talked out: -$0.25
Disrespectful to others: -$0.25
Did not complete the morning routine or checkout routine: -$0.25
Did not use line basics: -$0.25
Did not complete a class assignment/Did not put forth effort: -$0.25
**If a student loses more than two quarters in any given day, he or she will lose their Fun Friday extra recess.**
