Snacks (Peanut-Free)
Each day we will have a snack in the classroom. Students are responsible for providing their own, PEANUT FREE snack. The snack should be a healthy, non-messy item. Since it is in our curriculum to learn about proper nutrition, we will start with having a healthy snack each day. Some suggested items are an apple, grapes, carrot sticks, a banana, yogurt, 100 Calorie Packs, cheese sticks, anything peanut free from the produce department, NO-chips, cookies, Little Debbie’s, cake, cheese-its…
If your child comes to school with an unacceptable snack, they will be given a warning the first time. After that they will not be allowed to eat it in the classroom. Please help us have a happy and healthy classroom by sticking to this rule! This will be strictly enforced!
Birthdays
Feel free to send in a special treat for your child’s birthday. This is the one exception to the “healthy rule.” If you decide to send in a cookie cake, it MUST be sliced. J
